Mica
Mica is a natural mineral insulating material. It can be easily torn into very thin sheets, and has excellent properties such as heat resistance, dielectric, corrosion resistance, elasticity, etc. It is easy to punch and is widely used in electric vacuum devices. In the electric light source industry, mica is generally used as the internal insulating parts of the device, such as the heat insulation sheet in high-power bulbs, the electrode insulation bracket sheet in gas discharge lamps, and the isolation sheet to prevent the getter from evaporating between the electrodes. The thickness of mica as a heat insulation sheet or insulating sheet is generally about 0.8mm, and the surface should be smooth, flat, transparent, and should not have defects such as rust, black spots, burrs, layers, scratches, pits, and air bubbles.
